"ocean is in the back"
Although the present rarely encountered fully, I see it as a period of time, of any duration, where we are literally present. Where, while living with thoughts about the past and future, we still see and feel fully what is around us. These images are about describing the complexity of that moment. All images in this series are created by combining my photographs and the writing, notations and drawings left by my mother, father, and step mother after their deaths. The appropriated images are from museum postcards.
